The future: ViaRegios and a national information platform

The twelve Via Routes and the packages offered with them are only the beginning of Cultural Routes of Switzerland. Along with the development of further packages along the Via Routes themselves, the future evolution of the programme is focussing on three new areas: 

• The network of the ViaRegio Routes will be greatly expanded over the next few years. The creation of a denser network will help the Cultural Routes of Switzerland to become more firmly rooted in the regions, and will bring more great historical routes into the programme. 
• Expanding the ViaRegio network means giving top priority to reviving and restoring historic routes. 
• The website of Cultural Routes of Switzerland will be expanded to become a comprehensive information and marketing platform for regional tourism initiatives and agricultural specialities.
