ViaJura - A journey through time
In the beginning was a primeval sea. The Jura mountains were formed by the sediment it left behind. Much later the Romans opened up a way through the mountains and the valleys of the Birse and the Suze. The Pierre-Pertuis, a gateway through the rock, creates a sense of history that few places can beat. It inspired artists in the age of Romanticism. No need to be a romantic to be entranced even today by the exhilarating heights, long valleys and deep gorges of the ViaJura.
