Travel season
The ViaJura is worth a visit all year around. However, the best time for walking on the ViaJura is May to October.
Routes
The routes are signposted according to Swiss signposting laws. The ViaJura is signposted as route 80 of «Hiking in Switzerland».
Walking time
Walking times are for your information only. They do not take into account the various rest stops for lunch or cultural visits.
Equipment
For all hiking tours good hiking boots are needed as well as weatherproof clothing.

Public transport
All stopover places are accessible by public transport. What is more if you are uneasy about the altitude gain or journey times, you may choose to go part of the way by public transport on many stages.
